The simple blobs, spills and smears of watercolor can always be worked with. Some of my favorite watercolor creations have come from just working on top of a "mistake".

This is another piece from my "walls" portfolio I made in high school. It is a painting of a large blank wall that towered above our campus with the artwork I would put there if ever given the chance. A gigantic robotic angler fish.

After living for three months in New Zealand, I spent a lot of my time combing the beaches to find a plethora of new shells. I enjoyed collecting some of my favorites and then attempting to watercolor them in my journal.

I have met some of the best people on my early morning surf sessions. Some of the oldest surfers who paddle out just to sit in the ocean amongst their friends. These are the people who inspire me to enjoy the simple things. Every once in a while I can't help but sketch a few of my favorites.

Another piece from my high school art portfolio. This was a painting of a real slab of concrete in Santa Cruz that over looked the ocean. With inspiration from the seventies skateboard scene, this is the mock skateboard bowl I would stencil onto the asphalt.

This is a close up of a tattoo design for a good friend.
