GRAPHIC
Growing up, I was able to look over the shoulder of an experienced creative director and graphic artist, who also happens to be my dad. Observing all his tasks and creative problem solving skills up close has really opened my eyes to the graphic art world and the unlimited possibilities that come with it.
This is a Logo Design I made for a Photographer in Brazil. I played water polo with her in college and we all called her "lulu". In this logo I tried to capture her nickname and a symbol for photography in one.
This graphic was inspired by a bird house my dad and I built together when I was a kid.
In my high school art class, I created an art portfolio that was submitted to be judged by the advanced placement board. The main theme to my portfolio was taking photos of blank surfaces around my home town and then working on top of the landscape in different mediums. This particular image is the image I would put on a seawall at one of my favorite surf spots in Santa Cruz.
More imaginary art placed on a real beach house in Laguna, CA.
This piece was based off of a photo of an old abandoned treehouse in my neighborhood that only had a few planks of wood remaining.
A "surfer in a bottle" graphic
This graphic is based on my drawing that ended up being the published cover for Human Anatomy Lab Manuel for a Biology class at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA.
For my senior year of high school I was chosen to design our suits for the upcoming water polo season. I sketched out the design and this is one of my first real graphic lessons I was given from my dad.
I was very fortunate to have been able to carry my athletic career through college at Long Beach State University playing on the women's water polo team. I was even more fortunate to have been able to exercise my creativity even in the student athlete world. I created this graphic to be the symbol for being a part of the leadership council of athletics throughout college. This graphic was printed on member shirts and worn all over campus.
I was very grateful for the chance to get to design the school suits for the Long Beach State Men's water polo team for their 2016 season!
I also designed the Women's water polo team practice suits for the upcoming 2019 season.
The following four graphics are Facebook cover photos that I designed and created for the "VAVi sport and social club" in San Diego CA. My graphic internship with VAVi has helped me learn a ton about creating cover photos, web advertisements, flyers, and even billboards.
The photo below is the VAVi billboard I designed. This was one of my favorite projects because the sign needed to be something so simple, while also representing so much. I came up with this tag line hoping to capture the importance of the companies' sporting and social culture that they valued so dearly. I presented this to the VAVi marketing group and not only did they go ahead with creating the billboard, but the team has also been referring to this as the "theme of the year."
